The Fear of God

We know God is love and He loves us.

What is God's love?

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

When a husband leave a wife and said that he has enough and he cannot go on...
Has he failed? or his love failed?

On the other hand, he said he can love another woman. That is true love...

What does that mean?

Like all other values, man can choose to define it anyway they want it as long as their heart perceive it to be the truth. The heart of man is deceitful.

Then how can man ensure they don't fall away and sin?

Only by the fear of God. But then it said perfect love cast out fear. True... but which man can achieve perfect love unless it is God's love. If it is God's love then it is all the above and it will never fails.

With the same measure, it will be measure to you.

How can we expect God to love us perfectly and yet we can love others the way we want it?
How can we always expect God to relent and forgive us our sins and we still continue in the same sin?

God loves those in hell too but why are they in hell?

There is a universal principle at work. Man will reap what they sow. Therefore choose wisely.

God still loves us even when we continue in the same sin. It is never a question about God. It is always a question about us. When we continue in the same sin, it shows we do not love God. If we do not repent when we sin, it shows we do not love God. How can we say we love God and continue to hurt Him and disobey Him?

God's judgement is not how much He loves us, that is His mercy. God's judgement is how we follow Him. Partial obedient is not obedient. Partial love is not love. Love that does not forgive is not love. Love that destroys family is not love. Love that leaves love ones is not love.

How can men be so blinded?
Only by asking wisdom from God and learning His word, can theirs eyes be opened.
Only God's light can penetrate into their dark world.
Only God can help them.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
